Too True Tuesday – Holidays
This week’s edition of TTT is Holidays. Favorite, least favorite. And the all important why.
Thanksgiving is great. There is no expectation for gifts. As far as I can tell, no one is required to purchase a diamond to appease the wife on this holiday. And from what I hear, a great deal of entertaining domestic issues come about on this yet to be effectively whored out holiday.
I hate any holiday that requires a diamond commercial. ‘Tell her you love her” with a big fat diamond smuggled out of Africa in the ass of an orphan. Give me Cubic Zirconia and $1,000 any ol day.
There are very few holidays that remain untouched by the diamond industry. You might be able to argue that the Fourth of July is one of them. Yes, but you’d be wrong. I got married on that day. Anniversary diamonds are the rage. I know, a bit “ironic” that I got married on Independence Day.
So, enjoy your turkeys and your domestic issues. A good brawl over sweet potatoes never hurts.

MMmmm, no diamonds for Groundhog Day. Memorial day, Labor day, MLK day. Unless you are working an angle. In that case, rock on! (HAAA get it!)

The other day I saw a sign outside a jewlery store and it said, is your daughters diamond bigger than your wifes. Now I thought that was a NEW clever way to advertise diamonds. hehe.
