Hey, Why Aren’t You In Church?
So, here’s the deal. It’s Sunday.
Why aren’t you in church?
Really, I want to know.
Don’t worry about offending me.
I’m just researching.
Hate God?
I won’t take it personally.
Hate his employees?
Not a problem.
You’ll notice I did not read you your Miranda rights. There is no need. I will not use anything you say against you in trying to convert you. Pinky swear.
My only interest in this is why.

I go about 2-3 times a month. Since Sam is so little and doesn’t like sitting still and doesn’t like being left alone without mom or dad…we kind of play it by ear. At 30 when I reconnected, I always told myself I would from then on go because I wanted to and not out of obligation or guilt. So there!

Lots of reasons:
1. I spent all my energy doing things that were not near as important.
2. It is not the most important of things to my husband.
3. I was disappointed, severly, by my church when I was young, and I haven’t forgiven them.
4. I want more out of it. When I was young I felt inspired by my church, the way I feel inspired by what your church is doing. I can’t see anything here that would make me feel that way.
5. I am lazy.

Love God. Not so good with “Christians.” I tend to get pissed off and never go back. Then I give up for long periods of time.

went saturday evening. but our church is just too big. we’ve been there 4 years and now about 3 people. know..as in when they see me they say “hi” — not “know. know”. so if we stay in this town we’re looking for a new place. cannot be iron sharpening iron when you are not in relationship. *sigh*
