This is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs. I understand the sentiment of “I NEED you” – the guy singing gets it.
It being Sunday today, I went to church as I often don’t. Something about it seemed appealing this morning. Despite my rough night. Despite my lack of makeup. Despite my whore hair. Despite wearing workout clothes, (OK I changed to jeans last minute). I needed familiar.
Amazing grace. How sweet the sound. That saved a wretch like me.
My tribe was there this morning. Though I would see them later in the day, standing shoulder to shoulder and singing songs of praise was something I needed.
I once was lost but now I’m found.
No matter how many days I wake up, there are still days I wonder “WTF?” How did I get here? Why did I do that? Why do I let people treat me that way?
was blind but now I see. I just wanna see.

I need your grace.

and not that I needed to go to church to get it. It comes whenever I ask. Where ever I am when I need it. It’s amazing. Because it is. God is not contained in the four walls of the church. He permeates everything, always. He is the light in my darkness. The lamp to my feet. The light to my path.
I NEED you.

Always.
